What can we do to reduce the impact of our industry on the environment? Being environmentally conscious and making sustainable choices is more important than ever – in every aspect of our lives. This is equally crucial in our industry, especially in light of the fact that streaming consumption – and therefore energy consumption – is continuously growing: according to the last two State of Streaming reports by Conviva, the analytics platform for continuous measurement of streaming media, demand for global streaming has grown by more than 250 % since 2018.
We are therefore delighted to be a new member of Greening of Streaming and to participate in the development of engineering strategies that reduce the energy wasted in the streaming delivery infrastructure.
